About Elaine Pritchard

In 18 years as a journalist, I worked on many regional and national titles including The Nottingham Evening Post, Bucks Free Press, Daily Mail, Mail On Sunday, Daily Star and Sunday Times. Roles included business reporter, women's editor, news editor, sub-editor and deputy editor. In 1999 I moved into online media as joint launch editor for the journalism website www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk I went on to lead a number of new media start-ups and award-winning projects for the internet division of Northcliffe Newspapers and the Daily Mail group. Proudest moment was collecting a BAFTA for a ground-breaking educational website. In late 2010 I launched my own company - Caittom Publishing - and I now use my years of experience to help other businesses, charities and organisations raise awareness of what they do by writing great copy for their own websites and offering consultancy and training on content for social media platforms. I also write news stories and features. I am Company Secretary of Burton's Little Theatre Company - a registered charity - and run their Corporate Patron scheme which offers local businesses an opportunity to promote themselves as a supporter of high-quality, 'feel-good' live theatre in the town.
